Carpet and Rug Cleaning in Makati

Area rugs, runners and fitted carpet cleaned inside your unit. Nothing is rolled up and taken to a plant, so there is no pickup fee and no two-week wait for it to come back.

Why a rug is the worst offender

Everything in the room ends up at the bottom of the pile

A rug collects more than any other soft surface in a condo, and it hides it better. Everything that lands on the floor works its way down through the pile until it reaches the backing, where a vacuum has no chance of reaching it. Shoes bring in street grit, which is abrasive and slowly cuts the fibre from the inside. Pets add what pets add.

On a light rug you can see the traffic lane, so people book us. On a dark or patterned rug you cannot see anything at all, which is why patterned rugs are usually the dirtiest ones we clean. The recovery tank settles that argument in about four minutes.

Cleaned in place, and why that is better

Plant cleaning has a real advantage for a valuable hand-knotted piece: full immersion, controlled drying, a specialist looking at it. For a condo rug it mostly means logistics. A pickup fee, a fortnight without your rug, and the small but genuine risk of the wrong one coming back.

We bring the extractor to the rug. You get it back the same day, dry, and you watch what comes out of it. For everything short of an heirloom, that is the better trade.

1

Dye test on a hidden corner

Some rugs, particularly cheap red and indigo dyes, bleed. We find out on a corner that nobody sees rather than in the middle of the room.

2

Dry soil removal first

A rug can hold a surprising weight of dry grit at the base of the pile. It comes out dry, because the moment water arrives it becomes mud and stops moving.

3

Pre-spray and agitation

Solution worked into the pile with a brush and left to dwell. Deep pile gets more of this step than a flatweave does, and that difference is most of what the price reflects.

4

Hot-water extraction

Passes across the pile and then along it, so the fibre is rinsed from both directions and stands up again instead of lying flat in one lane.

5

Air mover, three to five hours

Foam blocks under any furniture legs that go back on top, so nothing wicks or stains while it dries.

Price

What it costs

Rugs are priced by measured area rather than per item, because size varies here by a factor of ten in a way it does not for a sofa. Three bands cover almost every condo in Makati.

Rug or runner, under 4 m²Most bedroom and hallway pieces₱700
Rug, 4 to 8 m²The usual living-room size₱1,100
Rug or fitted carpet, over 8 m²Priced by the measured area₱1,500
Deep shag or high pileAn hour of agitation before any water goes in+40%

Pile depth is the one genuine surcharge, and it is worth saying why rather than hiding it in a footnote. A flat wool rug and a deep shag of identical dimensions are not the same job: one is twenty minutes, the other an hour of agitation before a drop of water goes in. Send a photo with something in the frame for scale and we tell you the band and whether the surcharge applies, in writing, the same day. It does not move afterwards.

The ₱2,000 minimum order applies, and inside Century City there is no transport fee. The pieces we book most often alongside a rug are a sofa and a mattress, because the machine is already in the unit and the call-out is already covered.

FAQ

Questions about carpets and rugs

How much does carpet cleaning cost in the Philippines?

At CLB Cleaning Makati a rug or runner under 4 square metres is ₱700, a rug of 4 to 8 square metres is ₱1,100, and anything over 8 square metres including fitted carpet is ₱1,500. Deep shag and high pile carry a 40 percent surcharge, because that is an hour of agitation before any water goes in rather than twenty minutes. The minimum order of ₱2,000 applies. Send a photo with something in the frame for scale and we confirm the band in writing the same day.

Do you take the rug away to clean it?

No. Everything is cleaned inside your unit with the machine brought to the rug. That means no pickup fee, no two-week wait, and no chance of somebody else's rug coming back. It also means you watch the water come out, which most people find more convincing than a receipt.

How long does a carpet take to dry?

Three to five hours with the air mover running, depending on pile depth. A rug holds more water than a sofa because there is more of it and the backing slows evaporation. In an air-conditioned condo with no sun on the floor, a rug left to dry on its own can stay damp for a day and a half, which is long enough for it to start smelling.

Can you clean fitted carpet in a condo?

Yes, bedrooms and home offices are common. We work around furniture rather than emptying the room, and put foam blocks under any wooden legs so nothing wicks moisture or stains the pile while it dries.

Will cleaning shrink or damage my rug?

Not on wool, synthetic or flatweave, which is nearly everything in a Metro Manila condo. We test dye stability on a hidden corner first. Silk, jute, sisal and antique hand-knotted rugs are a different trade and we send those to a specialist rather than risk them.
