Mattress Cleaning in Makati
Dust mites, sweat stains, urine, the smell that comes back on a humid day. UV vacuum first so you can see what is in there, then hot-water extraction. Single ₱1,100, queen ₱1,900, king ₱2,300.
You spend a third of your life on it and it has never been cleaned
Almost nobody cleans a mattress. Sheets get washed weekly, the mattress underneath them gets flipped once and then forgotten for a decade. Meanwhile an adult loses a few hundred millilitres of moisture every night, along with the skin cells that dust mites live on, and in an air-conditioned Metro Manila unit none of that dries out and blows away. It stays in the foam.
We start every mattress with a UV vacuum and we do not empty the canister until you have looked in it. That is not theatre. It is the fastest way to end the conversation about whether the job is necessary.
Dust mites and morning allergies
If you wake up congested and clear up by mid-morning, the bed is the first suspect, not the aircon. The allergen is mite droppings, and they concentrate in the top few centimetres of the mattress. That is exactly the layer a UV vacuum and extraction reach.
Yellow patches that will not wash out
Sweat and body oil oxidising over years, not damp. They lighten a lot with extraction. A mattress that has yellowed since 2018 will not return to white, and we would rather tell you that before you pay than after.
Urine, from a child or a pet
Fresh usually comes out completely. Old urine leaves uric acid crystals in the foam, which is why the smell returns on a humid day even though the stain looks gone. That needs an enzyme treatment and dwell time, quoted separately.
The smell that comes back
Spraying the surface never works for long, because the source is bacteria feeding on what soaked into the padding. Removing the source removes the smell. If it comes back within a week, it was not the mattress.
After illness, or after a tenant
Turnover between tenants and short-stay guests is one of the most common reasons owners in the complex book us, and it is far cheaper than replacing a queen mattress between bookings.
Mould spots along the seam
Common on a mattress placed directly on a solid platform with no airflow underneath. We can clean the surface growth. If it has gone through into the core, the honest answer is that the mattress is finished, and we will say so.
Four steps, no shortcuts
UV vacuum, canister shown
A high-suction vacuum with a UV lamp over the whole surface and along every seam. You look in the canister before we go any further.
Spot and stain treatment
Sweat lines, urine areas and any biological marks are treated individually and left to dwell. Different marks need different chemistry, and treating a mattress as one flat surface is why most attempts fail.
Hot-water extraction
Solution in under pressure, solution back out with what it dissolved. Both faces where the mattress can be turned. We use less water on a mattress than on a sofa on purpose, because foam holds it.
Air mover, four to six hours
Longer than a sofa, and the reason we do not book mattresses in the evening. A mattress still damp at midnight is worse than one never cleaned.
What it costs
The minimum order is ₱2,000, so a mattress on its own does not reach it. Most people add it to a sofa booking, which is also when it is cheapest in real terms.
Three things we will not pretend
Bed bugs are not our job. They live in the frame, the skirting board and the wall as much as in the mattress. Cleaning one surface moves them rather than kills them. Get a licensed exterminator, then call us to deal with the staining afterwards. Anyone who offers to solve a bed bug problem with a cleaning machine is selling you a second visit.
No mattress is sterilised permanently. Mites eat shed human skin and you produce it every night. Cleaning cuts the population hard and resets the allergen load; it does not end it. Twice a year is the realistic interval in this climate, once a year if nobody in the unit reacts.
Some mattresses are finished. Mould through the core, repeated soaking over years, or foam that has collapsed. We will tell you that at the door and charge you nothing, because taking ₱1,900 for a job that cannot work costs us more in the long run than the ₱1,900 is worth.
Send a photo of the mattress
Stains photograph badly under warm light. Use daylight if you can, and tell us roughly how old the marks are.
Book a SlotQuestions about mattress cleaning
Does mattress cleaning get rid of dust mites?
It removes most of the population and nearly all of what actually causes the reaction. Dust mites themselves are not the allergen; their droppings and shed skins are, and those sit in the top layers of the mattress where a UV vacuum and extraction can reach them. No treatment sterilises a mattress permanently, because mites feed on shed human skin and you keep producing it. Cleaning twice a year in Metro Manila humidity is what keeps the population down.
Can you remove old urine stains and the smell?
Fresh urine usually comes out completely. Old urine that has dried into the foam leaves uric acid crystals that ordinary detergent does not touch, which is why the smell returns on a humid day after the stain looks gone. Those need an enzyme treatment and dwell time. We will tell you honestly what the odds are before you pay, and if the mattress has been soaked repeatedly over years we will say it is not worth the money.
Do you treat bed bugs?
No, and be careful with anyone who says yes casually. Bed bugs are a pest control job, not a cleaning job: they live in the bed frame, the skirting and the wall as much as the mattress, and cleaning one surface just moves them. Get a licensed exterminator first. We are useful afterwards, to remove the staining and residue the infestation leaves behind.
What are the yellow stains on my mattress?
Almost always sweat and body oil oxidising over time, not damp or mould. An adult loses a few hundred millilitres of moisture a night and most of it ends up in the mattress. In an air-conditioned condo it does not evaporate quickly, so it stays in the foam and yellows. Extraction lightens it considerably; a mattress that has yellowed over eight years will not come back to white, and we say so before rather than after.
How long does a mattress take to dry?
Four to six hours with the air mover running, so a morning booking is dry by bedtime. A mattress holds more water than a sofa and takes correspondingly longer. We do not book a mattress for the evening, because a mattress that is still damp at midnight is worse than one that was never cleaned.
How much is mattress cleaning in Makati?
A single mattress is ₱1,100, a queen ₱1,900 and a king ₱2,300. The minimum order is ₱2,000, so a mattress on its own does not reach it. Most people book it alongside a sofa, which is also when it is best value, because the machine is already in the unit.
